3 nissen fundolplications

Has any one else had three nissen fundolplications?
In 2007 I had my first for severe GERD and hiatus hernia. This was May. In september 07 I suffered food poisoning and the pressure in my stomach made me vomit and broke the fundolplication open. I was again symptomatic. In August 08 I had heoperation redone and then in december 08 after a total hip replacement I was again symptomatic. Following investigations proed the fundolplication to be undone. I recently had my third fundolplication and the it was also done as a laproscopy like the previous two. I woke to be told that during surgery in an attempt to move liver my stomach was cut. i am now on fluids for three weeks. I am suffering from neck and left shoulder pains,,,
has anybody had anythng similar.. I am in Melbourne Australia

I have only had 2 done. Mine had to be redone because the first was done wrong and it took them almost 3 years to figure it out. During my second one they had to put a couple holes in my stomach to get the first undone since it wasn't done right. I spent3 weeks unable to drink or eat and was feed TPN through a PICC line. I did have the neck and shoulder pains also. I was told that happens because of the gas they use to inflate your belly irritaes the nerves there and you feel it on your shoulder area. I believe mine was worse the second time because it took twice as long to do te srgery and they had to manipulate things around more. I pray the hole heals quickly. I know I didn't enjoy my 2 holes at all.
