Hello Everyone,
This is the first time I am posting on this site as like many of you I am tired of living with Esophagitis and to not find a cure.
I have more than 7 years with this disease. In the beginning, I got a lot of headache, couldn't burp and had stomach pain - I felt a lot of anger/ frustration because of this. I went to the doctor, who did an endoscopy, and diagonized me with Esophagitis. She prescribed nexium 40 mg for 2 weeks, and then 20 mg for another 2 weeks as well as a drug to kill bacterias in my stomach however I forgot the name/ brand. The medicine worked and the pain was gone. I used to drank alcohol and coffee. I stopped all this during the medication, however resumed after I felt better.
After 3 years, I started feeling throat ache, like someone chocking me, and felt as if food was stuck in my esophagus - no pain involved just a lot of discomfort. I stopped drinking coffee all together, as the discomfort was automatic after drinking it. I was prescribed again with nexium, motilium and amoxilin, and felt better. After this I have never stopped taking nexium - an biopsy has been made 2 years ago and no cancer has been detected.
One year ago, I started feeling chest pain and a lot of back pain, as if it is my lungs, and sometimes up to my throat, and then down to the stomach - all of these pains in my back. I stopped smoking completely, drinking anything which I shouldn't, raised my bed - which helps but kills my back - have been taking 40 mg nexium every day in the morning, and sometimes refluxamine, motilium, dica and pepcid. I took a manometer exam, and they diagnosed me with too much pressure in the LES... whereas I thought my LES was too relaxed... They prescribed me with triptanol - an antidepressant which helps me relax, and to tell you the truth, I do feel a little better... But every day the pain comes back.
Has any one had this before - too much pressure in the les and how have you dealt with it??? Any suggestions???? Any one know any surgeries for this type of problem?!?!? I am really desperate, I go to the doctors and all they give me is medicine which I already take and information which I already know, I am tired of resolving the problem right now, I want a long term solution, to know what is causing this and fix it...
Thanks for your time and I'll look forward to your comments.
