HElP! im turning 21 in a few days and i suffer from GERD!!

I'm turning 21 in a few days and i suffer from really bad GERD. i had my gallbladder removed last year and for about 3 years i havent been able to drink alcohol AT ALL....i recently had a few sips of a strawberry daq...and that didnt end up well...i wanted to know if anyone had any luck with any form of alcohol and not getting heartburn after....please help....and no im not gonig to slam back the drinks...i just wanted to have a drink on my bday..please help <3

Drinking alcohol causes symptoms to occur in many  people who already have acid reflux disease.  You may want to discuss this question with your physician.  I wish you a Happy Birthday.

Do you take medication? Have you discussed surgery with your doctor?

i already had surgery..they said everything would be fine after...they lied...i still suffer from GERD. i take pills every so often...although they told me i shouldnt have to...i dont have insurance till january...thats why i was asking if anyone had any luck with any form of alcohol..

apple mixed drinks that aren't too heavy in liquor or high sugars like grenadine tend to help
