I'm Back

I am back. Had my gall bladder removed and.......I still have all the problems that I had prior to having it removed. The surgery that normally is an out patient operation turned into a 2 night stay in the hospital due to complications from the antithesis, and I ended up with a hernia.....due to extreme thrashing while coming form off the antithesis.

I can live with that, but not being any better is really a bummer. I found another gastro, he had me another series of test, endo and colo. and then he tells me "well at least there is no cancer" and that is good news but when I asked him what is wrong with me, he says "I don't know"....but he wants to run another test that involves swallowing a pill size camera and wearing a recorder so he can see what ins goinga on with my small intestine. Before the test can be run insurance has to notified for approval.

To say that I am not very impressed with doctors is an understatement.

I also ask him what cause my body to produce so much bile, I asked him when my gallbladder quit working did my body decide it needed to step up the bile production to compensate? he didn't know.......

So I have been reading about how the liver is the producer of bile, and some fat on the liver can cause issues. I am not a drinker, don't smoke. I do work with a lot a chemicals and try to wear as much protection as possible, that may be part of the problem. I am suprised that as many people have issues with GERD that there isn't any more information on bile production.

What I have noticed, friggin medical system is broken, it looks like all the system is just a money grubbing deal, and you are just a number....enough of the rant. I will be back, thanks for listening

I too am so sorry. I am with you on loosing confidence with some of these doctors. Especially with the first urologist I ever saw. Grrrrrrr! Anyway. You don''t have any relief? Did any new symptoms show up? You said you now have a hernia. Is it a hiatal hernia or the other type? If it is a hiatal there can be some bad issues from them is they get trapped. Again, sorry this didn't help, When mine was removed it was a blessing for me.
