Since I am new to this site, I recognize symptoms that I have which I am concerned about. I have had palpitations for about 8 weeks, bad for a few, then my dr. put me on Protonics and they were much better, but in the past week, they have resurfaced, usually after a meal or snack. When I mentioned it to my dr, he said he didn't think it is related to GERD. We'll see what turns up tomorrow. BTW, can't get down the last of the drink-am feeling sick to my stomach.

Hi Carolinagirl,
Sorry to hear you're having problems. Glad the Protonix helped for a while. Are you taking it once or twice a day? If once a day isn't doing it, you could see if your doctor would consider trying you on twice a day. I had GERD that wasn't responding well to PPI's like Protonix. It helped some, but didn't solve all my problems. Taking it twice a day can really make a difference.
