I"m a little bit confused, but i always tend to drink water right after eating. Recently i've read some articles stating that drinking water while eating may dilute digestive enzymes and stomach acids. Futhermore,it may be harder to break down the food, so the stomach starts to produce more acid which results in acid reflux and heartburn.
I've also read some other articles stating that its fine to drink water during meals because it doesn't affect the digestive enzymes. Have anyone here tried not to drink water while eating and notice any difference? Maybe i might try it for a couple of days and let you guys know if it works or not.

Drinking water while eating is just fine in my book. If you drink water it gets absorbed from your small intestine & large intestine(Colon ) the body uses what it wants from it & the rest gets filtered through the kidneys . You need water to keep the body moist & you loose water with your breath & sweat Keep doing what your body tells you to and drink water.

I've tried all the ways. I get reflux no matter which I do.

Water is such a healthy drink that I doubt it will cause you problems when drinking it with food. I couldn't manage without it, as I drink lots and lots of water. My friends call me "liquid", which isn't far off. We're all pretty liquid, and water is essential to good health.
