Tomorrow's the big day!

Well, tomorrow is the big day. [img]/community/emoticons/wink.gif[/img]
I get to meet my surgeon face to face instead of talking to him by emails and phone calls.

We'll be driving for about 5 hours to get to his office. I hate long drives, but I'm hoping it will be worth it.

I will have my pre-op tests at 2:00. Then Wednesday morning at 8:00 I have my EGD.

I hope my HH is small enough to have the EsophyX done. (crossed fingers)



I don't relish the IVs they'll put in. I've only had two in my life and both hurt! [img]/community/emoticons/shocked.gif[/img] At least they'll knock me out not long after they put it in.

I'm kinda wondering what the pre-op involves. I asked the nurse, but she said, "we'll ask some questions and such". What's the "such"? [img]/community/emoticons/confused.gif[/img] I asked about the EKG and she said we don't do that.

The tech from the hospital called me today and asked me a slew of questions about my various illnesses, medications, and allergies. After I finished talking to her, I said, "I'm a mess, everytime I turn around the doctor says I've got a new condition". She just laughed.



Well, I'll be out of touch until Thursday. I hope everybody has a Happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat too much turkey or pumpkin pie. [img]/community/emoticons/turn.gif[/img]

I'll try to post on Thursday between all the cooking and family visits. My brother and two of his kids are dropping in. I don't know about my other brothers they live far away. My sister and her husband may drop by, they're not sure if they can make it. They live in the next state.
