Hello, I have suffered from Reflux for a long time and I was at wits end trying to find some relief as I started out eating a 75mg of zantac and after a few years I went from 75mg of zantac to 1200mg of zantac. Taking pills, I found out does not cure the problem it only puts a bandaid on the problem. Everytime I would eat a meat lovers pizza or drink sodas at night or ice cream or just about anything, I would get reflux. Not only did I have a bad case of reflux, but I was gaining weight like there was no tomorrow. The problem got worse and I needed some help. I was told about a website from a friend of mine called great taste no pain. It even had a free download of meals for about 4 days. Ofcourse, they wanted to sell a book to me but I would not do that. I tried the free version for a week. I just did the same thing over again. To my surprise, I did not have any reflux nor did I have to take 1200 mg of zantac. I thought this was a miracle. I did a little research on the foods and found out that there were two types of foods; Alkaline and Acid. I got a list of each type and tried a few things and found out that if I combined a starch food with a meat, I got reflux. If I ate fruit with a starch, I got reflux. So decided to eat vegetables with vegetables for some meals and meat with non starchy vegetables and fruit with fruit. I drank a lot of water but not with my meals. So, for the last 32 weeks, I have pretty much done what I have just stated but it all started with the great taste no pain way. I have lost around 100 pounds and it is staying off. I still will not buy the book. I believe that information of this type should be free. If you have any comments, I would greatly appreciate it. I am over 50. CULater
