Yes, I have been dealing with GERD for quite sometime now. I am looking into getting surgery because the PPIs cause me to many side effects. They are the only class of medication that actually work for my heartburn but the side effects make them miserable to be on.

I had a special modified Hill procedure where my floppy part of my stomach was wrapped aroundmy esophagus 270 degrees. It's worked very well for me.
