I finally had an endoscopy on march 24, the GI doc found multiple stomach ulcerations and used the term lacerations..which sounded ominous to me lol. He said that it wasnt infected so no antiobiotics needed. Unfortunately the PPI he prescribed isnt working? Anyone else had that type of specific diagnosis? Mostly the laceration part..
Thanks,
Martin

When did you start the ppi's,if you started after your endoscopy, you need too give the medication time to work,it may take up to 3 weeks.

Good Morning,
To the best of my knowledgs the term stomach lacerations is reserved for trauma to the stomach and usually caused by an accident of some sort. I would ask your physician if he is using the term in the same sense as stomach ulcers ?
I agree, you do need to give the PPIs a chance to kick in.
Take care,
Kitt

Im going to see him tommorow, and will ask him what he meant by lacerations, i havent been in any accidents oe "Eaten any razor blades.." hehe
I have been on this PPI off and on, but not for 3 weeks straight.
May try Nexium starting tommorow
