Pain might be gallstones????

Has this happened to anyone else.  In the past when I have suffered reflux pain I have been able to use gaviscon or ACV to get rid of the pain in minutes.  Lately despite being on Losec, Somec and trying all the other tricks I haven;t been able to subdue the pain and yesterday after vomiting up my lunch again I finally snapped and went back to my doctor crying.  He now suspects gallstones since he said the pain I'm now suffering sounds different from reflux.  To me it feels very similar to that burning reflux feeling but it aches in my back too which he says is classic gallstone symptons especially combined with the frequent vomiting I am experiencing.  Has this happened to anyone else?  If so what was the outcome?

Have been doing some research on the net and it does seem as though many people just think they have reflux that then shows itself to be gallstones. I was getting so frustrated as I was eating a completely akaline diet and avoiding all the reflux trigger foods but still vomiting a lot of meals up and suffering that horrible buring pain. I really hope that it is gallstones now so that this puzzle can be solved.
