What kind of testing have you had to see which kind of gerd you have?

Yesterday I posted you a reply on another thread you had written in so just in case you didn't see it I have pasted it below.
I also wanted to add that camomile tea last thing before bed is a very good stomach soother.

Hi scriptures I also hope to never have to use PPI's again because to my way of thinking supressing something that your stomach naturally produces to digest food is nutty. I understand that sometimes it is necessary to help heal a burnt esophagus but to do it indefinately doesn't make sense to me.
I personally subscribe to the theory that most acid reflux is caused by too little acid not too much as doctors believe. Studies show that the older we get the less acid we produce.
My two cents worth for natural remedies are the following:
I drink 20 ml of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach each morning and then follow that with a glass of water that has half a lemon squeezed into it.
Then I have half a fresh mango for breakfast with digest aid (pills from the health store) and a digestive enzyme tablet.
Then I eat toast or whatever other breakfast food I feel like.
I have the digest aid and the digestive enzymes with each meal.
I also drink another 20ml of aloe vera juice before going to bed.
I never eat past 7pm to ensure that my tummy is empty before going to bed.
All my meals are smaller now and I try really hard to stop eating when I feel full to avoid that stuffed feeling that always leads to indigestion for me.
After my evening meal I drink a large glass of water that has 2 capfuls of cider vinegar mixed in. This doesn't taste as bad as it sounds. I think, it's a bit like lemon juice in your water, quite refreshing. I also drink this mixture if I feel that reflux feeling rising.
Between meals I eat RAW (must be raw not roasted) almonds. These also help when the reflux feeling starts rising again.
Also for me cutting down on fat and sugar has made a big difference. Plus I try to eat less meat than I used to with my main meal and more veges.
All this was hard to get into but now it's all second nature and I feel really good. Since I started all this I haven't had any painful heartburn episodes just that sort of bubble trapped air indigestion feeling at times which is completely gone when i drink the cider vinegar.
This all works for me scriptures and there are other posters on here who have written about there natural cures too. So do some research and experimenting and see what works for you too.

Thanks so much Moo'sMom , I answered your above post/reply from my email. Hope you got it. I do not see it posted on the thread yet. I am new at this . Your message was so inspiring , hearing that you made the transition from ppi's and how you did it , is so helpful. I hope you got my reply.

In my case my LES is functioning perfectly. I don't get reflux anymore just that full indigestion feeling. All my natural remedies seem to work for my symptoms.

Ouch! That would be a hard one to recover from. Good luck!

You encourage me to search, I just took the wisdom, or lack of it, from a gastro surgeon in Montreal Canada. I will continue to try all the natural methods first but its good to know of other possibilities .
