Hi all,
I had a Toupet Fundoplication done on August 19 and have been healing extremely well - no problems with swallowing, some mild gas pain, and am progressing to soft foods at a slow but steady pace
The only problem I've encountered is severe hunger pangs every 2-3 hours in the middle of the night to the point where they wake me up from sleep. I've found that drinking some water helps to satisfy the hunger cravings to an extent, but I'm woken up again a few hours later with the same hunger pangs.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to solve the problem? I eat fine during the day (a small but filling portion of safe foods every 2-3 hours), but can't handle food in the middle of the night.
Also, could this be gas pain? I've tried taking Gas-X before going to bed but it doesn't seem to be making much of a difference.
Thanks in advance,
L.
