So I am constipated following the wrap and needed 2 laxatives. stomach hurts and is making very loud noises. is this common. when i do go it runs out, but like i said its very, very grumbly and painful. also, i have no swallowing problems. can swallow anything, should i take this as a good thing or is my wrap too loose. anything to calm my stomach

This can be a very common problem with pain meds and low activity. Are you taking very much pain meds and how much walking are you doing? Also how much water are you drinking. I was told from both hospitals for my wraps that Colace is about the best to use for this and also might want to use miralax during recovery to help keep it soft until you are healed if it keeps happening. IT is very common though. My mom says warm baths can also help if you have a lot of stomach cramp pains.
Your stomach is going to make some very loud and strange noises for quite sometime. Thins is normal after this surgery. It is just getting used to being re routed as best I can tell. Mine did it both times and still does off and on over a year later this time.

i hope the sounds arent this bad this often forever. im okay like once a day, but right now its a lot. i take antidepressant meds which are very constipating. i will try to walk more and drink. also, going to work in soft veggies. part of the problem is its hard to push stools when stomach feels like this. i just hope and pray he got it tight enough..i realize the mucous in my throat will take time because the docs let it get burned for 2 yrs before they acted. no problems swallowing but i have not challenged it yet. im not sure how some folks have trouble swallowing pills. to me that seems like an extremely tight wrap, but if this doesnt work at least for a few yrs i will be shattered is your wrap holding up for you know and stopping symptoms. did you only get a few yrs from the 1st one. man i hope your symptoms are minimal for now i am staying on pills so throat can heal

Joe mine gripped and complained for about ten days. I had so much gas issues I thought I'd explode one day. :))
Try baby food in the pureed form. Sweet potatoes are good.
