Hi Everyone...sorry I haven't been around much. Tuesday I was in my son's classroom all day, yesterday I babysat, and today it has been errands, errands, and more errands--most for my oldest son!
Hi Kitt,I'm glad to hear your MIL is having company and keeping busy. Is she on oxygen? It's rough, I know, as my FIL was pretty much house-bound for quite a while. He got home health aide care, some help with household chores and Meals on Wheels, and that helped (although he was a picky eater, and some meals, I'm sure, went untouched.)
He did enjoy his company--and his TV! He also had diabetes, so it complicated his issues. He just loved being able to stay in his home. He lived about
an hour away, so we couldn't be there daily to help out. We were so glad we were able to get him the help he needed so he could continue to stay at home. That was what he wanted more than anything.
Don't worry about
that P-doc. Be strong and continue to state your case. You know yourself the best. Just keep plugging along...one foot in front of the other...acting "as if"...then your body just might believe you and follow along. You know I wish you all the best and hope things go well.
Thanks for sending the hug. That little baby keeps us busy, but what fun! It's good exercise for me...he's almost 20 pounds...I'd call that weight bearing exercise!
Janice,I'm so glad that you've been able to enjoy your vacation. I was worried about
you in the beginning of the trip when you were having unbearable pain. I've been thinking of you a lot! Were you in Yosemite Valley? Did you get to Inspiration Point? I'm sure things have changed a lot since we went 36 years ago (LOL), but I found it a most beautiful place! My then young husband and then young me climbed to the top of Yosemite Falls...up and down an 8 hour trip! What fun, though! I hope you continue to enjoy your travels. Please keep in touch whenever you can!
Joy, SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!! Glad you were finally able to escape! I was always that teacher who was still in the midst of getting my end of the year work done when everyone else was out the door! I never found a way to get done early...glad to hear you had some time to kill before you could leave. Believe me, it beats the alternative!
Wow...I'm getting lots of gas with the probiotics I'm taking. From what I'm reading it's because of the purging of the bad bacteria. I'm sticking with it. I don't think it can hurt, and it might just help.
I've been calling the past 3 days to see if they had the results of the bloodwork they took last week, and finally discovered that they aren't all completed yet. Go figure. Maybe next week???
Hi Bill,I'm so sorry to hear about
all the problems you've been going through. I figured there was a reason for your absence, and was worried about
you (apparently for good reason!) I'm glad to hear that things are beginning to look up.
That daughter of yours is a little powerhouse, isn't she! Congratulations on those amazing home runs!
Hope things continue to progress in a positive direction for you!
Hi Kim,The NP who recommended I take the probiotics said that it is something that will not show any improvements for a long time...it's a long-term project. As I told Joy, I've been getting lots of gas, but I'm willing to put up with that if the probiotics help. I heard that the gas subsides after a while, so I'm hopeful! Until then, STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY!
Peg,I'm also a teacher (retired), and have been through many, many end of years! I just retired last June, so it's still fresh. The economy has really been hard on schools and teachers. Hopefully things will get better soon. It's not an easy time to be a teacher with all the political pressure that is being brought to bear. Good luck to you and Joy! I'm with you in spirit!
Have a great night everyone!
Take care,
Denise
