sorry to say chocolate weakens the "les" (lower esophageal sphincter) so give it up
nsaid drugs weaken the les also ( so what doesent?
ginger in small amounts ( a slice) brewed in hot water as a tea may strengthen the les
a tablespoon of liquid calcium supplement may strengthen the les, take at end of meal
oh yes did i mention eat small small meals?
try to stay calm cause anxiety makes the vagus nerve flutter and then the les may linger

go for a walk an hour after eating, increases motility
the british brand of gaviscon makes a barrier thats stronger than domestic us products and can sometimes stop reflux as it has more alginate that forms a better "raft"
dont forget , eat very small meals
keep a diary of trigger foods, what induces reflux for you may be different than what triggers reflux in another person, likewise keep a record of foods you can eat that are relatively "safe"...do this by eating just one or two things at a meal so you can be sure what causes what
eat whole foods, fresh foods avoid packages with long lists of ingredients and especially avoid acid and chemicals in your food
keep believing you can get better, psychology is important
did i mention , eat small meals
