I had my fundiplication on April 25th. My surgeon was highly recommended, and despite adhesions from prior surgery causing him to do a open surgery, my result has been amazing. I still have physical discomfort from the open surgery, but at two weeks out can eat things I never thought I would be able to at this point. Soup, eggs, bread (even a little chocolate) with no discomfort, and am sleeping through the night again for the first time in a long time. I do have some wonky things bubbling and making noise inside, but hey, what else is new? I am going back to work tomorrow after only two weeks post surgery. I must reiterate if you want this procedure find someone who is recommended BY FELLOW DOCTORS to do this procedure. I have enjoyed all your posts, and wish everyone recovery and happy eating.
