Short of breath and lightheaded

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I can't remember how far out you are after your surgery, but unless you're in the very early stages, I can't say that the symptoms you're experiencing are related to your Nissen.

You could be getting a virus. Just a reminder...if you do get a stomach bug, be sure to have anti nausea drugs on hand, so you can stop the nausea from causing you to vomit. Vomiting can create real problems with a newly wrapped stomach.

The ppis give some people low blood pressure: could it be a side effect of any medication you are on? Were you given anti clotting medication before and after your op? Shortness of breath can be a symptom of PE, though I think that also gives pain. Maybe worth getting checked over just to rule that one out? Not wanting to scare you of course, but recent surgery is a risk factor for DVT etc. Hopefully it'll just be one of those little puzzles that goes away on it's own!

Hope so. Did someone listen to your ticker etc when you had your chest xray? Maybe it's just related to being less active or less mobile following the surgery. Have you been checked for anaemia too? I think I've used up my ideas now . . .
