Finally going to see a gastrologist on Oct 17th .. What should I expect?

She said he will be doing a bunch of tests and to bring somebody with me to drive me home cause I will be getting sedated.

Any info would be great.

and does anybody ever get sinus problems from GERD and headaches that make your eye hurt kinda. Hard to explain.

Hi there,

I had such bad sinus problems that I had my tonsils, adenoids removed and my nose and sinuses fixed. Very painful. Long recovery and all for nothing. I was no better because the symptoms of the sinus drainage were all from reflux.

Not everyone is bad enough to have surgery to look for relief from GERD. I was qualified and had the surgery 5 days ago and the drainage has stopped completely.

I used tons of tissues, blew my nose constantly and swallowed the drainage till I was sick to my stomach much of the time.

Not everyone is as bad as I was but I finally got to the root of my problem.

Hang in there and ask questions. There are lots of people here with a great deal of experience in living with GERD, controlling it with medication and others like myself who have had to have surgery to correct it when it gets really bad.
