Feeling great at the 6 month mark!
Just reading some posts and am so thankful NOT to be having issues I suffered with for years. Somewhere on this site are my postings from days immediately following surgery. Thought I'd give prospective from a little more distance.
I no longer-
wake up with acid in mouth during night-a good night's sleep is so underrated!
have reflux, whether I eat or not!
munch 25-30 Tums daily
have risers under head of my bed
lose my voice in the middle of teaching
have 20 extra pounds hanging around, although I wouldn't cry if another 10 fell off!
cough for an hour after eating
I still-
watch what I eat- soft bread items and meat (like my mother's overcooked pork chops on a recent visit) tend to take forever to go down- NOT because something will give me heartburn, nothing has (NOT tomatoes, pineapple...)
sleep on my stomach
I now-
modify my exercise routines- laying on stomach while stretching is uncomfortable, running and jumping still feels like punch in stomach, although it feels a bit better each time I try ( every couple of weeks)
Wish I had done this years ago!
Sorry about the look of this. I couldn't figure out how to change font or size to make it more readable.
