13 yd. old Sqawking 6 weeks after Nissen fundoplication surgery

It is loud sound almost like a hiccup but sounds like she is sqawking. It is uncomfortable and the drs  have never heard of it. It started at week 5 after surgery. She heads back to Middle School and 8th grade boys will be merciless to her when she does it in class. Has any experienced this? Does it go away? Dr suggested it could be behavioral and that won't be forever. I know itisn't behavioral. What can she do?  Please help

It might be a type of hiccup. Is she over eating? I got them terrible when I over ate those first weeks.
If she can, have her try to hold them in.

I too got one way hiccups when I ate too much or ate something I shouldn't have and I irritated my wrap..
I know what you mean about 8th grade boys.. they can be cruel at times.. try to make sure she doesn't over fill her stomach or eat things she isn't sure she can handle.. let her eat what you know agrees with her wrap.. until healed more and handling more diverse foods.. Maybe this will help the "squawks".
I am at 15 weeks and I cannot remember the last time I was bothered with them.. hope fully she will be rid of them soon too!!

she says she also gets them after swallowing water. If she eats , drinks, moves like playing soccer? Does this sound familar as well? It makes sense that she began to eat more at 5 weeks but did anyone get it  after drinking as well?

I am in foreign territory here.. I don't have the energy to do soccer (I'm old enough to be her Gmaw) but, I have to applaud her for getting through this surgery and coping with the restrictions... The only thing I can even suggest is that she try to not over eat or eat something that irritates and try to control the drinks as far as cold or hot.. that was when these half-hiccups bothered me the most.. I am so with you on the 8th grade boys thing... but the only suggestion I can come up with is to not irritate the wrap.. that is what triggered mine.. and everything you mentioned could irritate it.. I realize that children do heal faster then older adults but at 5-6 weeks things are still shook up in there and some caution may still be necessary..
Don't want to put a damper on anything.. just sayin'...
What week is she in?? re-read your post and it seems that they started at week 5... this was when she began eating more???
Wish I could help more... only suggestions...

I too had some type of hiccup if I ate more than my stomach wanted. kind of a cue to stop or else for me. I still do have them every now and then if I forget and over eat.
