As I understand it a high amount of cases (although not all), can be cured with HALO ablation. So my question is, for those with Barrets who have not looked into/done ablation, why have you not done so?
It is something I'll talk to my dr. about in a week. I think I read at one point that there is a small risk it will cover up an area of Barrets, making it invisible (but still present). In that sense I guess there is a risk that you could be worse off, still having Barrets (and not knowing it)...but I am not sure how true this is.
Interesting to know I guess. If I had low grade dysplasia I might not consider ablation due to this reason, but my gut feeling is if I had any Barrets in the future I'd try to get ablation asap...is there info out there I am missing?
