davidsilva.articlesbase.com/diseases-and-conditions-articles/acid-reflux-cough-is-that-nagging-cough-more-serious-than-you-think-581782.htmlGood luck getting to the bottom of it. I have a close friend who gets enough reflux to cause a persistent cough. She was diagnosed with GERD, but the doc didn't think it was bad enough to warrant anything other than medication.
If the Prilosec doesn't work, don't give up. There are other PPIs as well as higher dosages that may do the trick. If things don't resolve, be sure to make an appointment with your PCP or a GI doc.
Good luck!
