bile reflux

joe, i have refluxed what i think... and have been told... is bile, thank goodness only rarely, what an awful taste...i sympathize with you

im no doctor

but i thought bile acids were secreted into the upper part of the small intestine

if you had bile in your stomach that would suggest to me that the pyloric sphincter is opening at the wrong time ...no?

i would ask my doctor what could explain bile in the stomach

I haven't undergone the proper testing to see what I am refluxing. However, I wonder if I might also be refluxing bile? Are there any particular symptoms associated with bile reflux, such as a certain taste in your mouth?

Thanks so much for responding. I don't think I have ever had a bitter taste in my mouth, but I do get an occasional burning in the throat and regurgitation, despite aggressive PPI therapy.
