Wow .. I've not heard of anyone getting rid of the LPR symptoms with just 2 days of PPI use! Typically people take double dosage of PPI for 3-6 months before their LPR symptoms subside.
In any case, if the PPIs are working for you and you feel fine, you can try getting off of them. Since you've been on the PPIs for only 2 days, you don't even have to taper them off - just stop taking them and see what happens. If your symptoms return, continue to take them ..
Now, in my case PPIs work but give me horrible side effects - so I don't go near them. For others they are not effective or lose their effectiveness over time.
I wouldn't worry too much about bone issues with such a short term use .. if you think you may have to take them for long periods of time (>3-6 months), then may be you can try to get off them - or - supplement with other things such as strict diet etc.
