Am back after a long time away-had my endoscopy last week the doctor reported all clear. have lost a stone recently so have found that my reflux has improved.

The only downside has been that the surgeon wants to take my gallbladder out. I not really keen as its not given me any problems at all... personally i just dont see the need.

Hi Matt,

Glad that your endosopy results were good. I'm assuming that the stone was from your gallbladder?  If so, that's your answer.  One of those suckers could clog up the duct and you'd be in a world of hurt.  I'm sure your doc doesn't want it to have to be an emergency procedure.

im confused

are you saying you passed a stone

or are you saying you lost 14 pounds (one stone weight UK)

sorry im not so smart

After your post I looked at Matt's post again and I think you're right...he lost a stone in weight.  When mentioned in conjunction with the gallbladder, I misunderstood the statement.

you are welcome...but hey im still not sure, but think, (guess) the second interpretation (stone as in weight) is more likely

Hey all - sorry for the confusion ive lost a stone in weight :-) which ive found has improved my reflux.

Re my gallbladder has stones in there but have had no problems apart from one incident in may, so am surprisef he wants it out.
