light pain under my ribs

ive been haveing a light pain that feels as if there was a needle in my liver or under my ribs. it normally comes around when im sitting down for about 10 min. i asked my doctor about it and he didnt seem to know what it was. does anyone know what this could be?

Hi Eman, I have been having the same slight pain on my left side that seems to be under my rib cage closer to the front. I am thinking it's gas. Have you tried deep breathing exercises....I found that if I take a gas-x or do my exercises, it eases. What causes it, I don't know.
