Just wanted to let everyone know how the Stretta procedure changed my life. I suffered from GERD horribly. Mine was weird though. I mainly got hearburn whenever my stomach was empty. It was awful. My chest would tighten up and my arm would go numb (symptoms very much like a heart attack) and I could barely breathe. I quickly learned that if I immediately ate a piece of bread or some crackers, then it would go away. It was hard to even think about
eating when you're having an acid reflux attack, but I forced the food down and in about
10 minutes, the pain was gone.
I did get the Stretta about 10 years ago. I can tell you that I have only suffered from heartburn maybe about 10 times since I had the procedure. For me, the procedure worked very very very well. I never even followed up with my endo doctor and I take no medicines!!
I would like to know if anyone still performs the Stretta procedure???? I never really followed up on the procedure to see if patients experienced bad ramifications from the Stretta or if there were any warnings to patients that did get the Stretta. Anyone know????
Thanks.
