Dry mouth and throat side affect of NExium?

anyone else get really dry mouth and throat from taking nexium? maybe it's not the nexium - just thought i'd ask. i think it's partly globus hystericus but read nexium may have the dry mouth side effect too.

ugh horrible feeling.

I take nexium and I get dry mouth, but I am not sure whether they are related.

i drink lots of water so i don't understand why i'm getting it. i've also been taking claritin and allegra (not together) but i think it started before this round of allergy meds. what helps yours?

I drink a lot of water. Actually, dry mouth motivates me to drink more water than I would drink without dry mouth :) Sometimes, chewing gum helps too.

have you ever asked your doc about it? i didn't take my nexium tonight just to see if it helps tomorrow. ugh i can't stand this feeling.

I have not asked my doc about it; because, my dry mouth does not happen all the time and it is not very severe.
