US Citizens can get the LINX procedure

You'll have to call the individual centers in Europe and ask them. I'd talked to the one in UK (healtherweights) in the spring of this year and they'd told me that they can not offer it to me while I am a resident of the US.

May be they've changed their policies now and offer under medical tourism or something .. but I know that they'd told me then (I have email from them) - that it'll be against the spirit of the FDA approval process to do so.

You read the post from the member that had surgery in Italy.  This person would be a good resource when looking into have surgery abroad.  I would ask this person if they could give you info in their thread on how to procede.

I contacted the personal from Italy to verify if they were accepting US residents for the procedure via email.

What are your thoughts on this......

My symptoms are mainly LPR, sore throat, mouth, and my surgeon assured me that he could fix that with Nissen. He actually told me most success stories aren't reported on the web and he's the most experienced surgeon in my state. The surgery will basically be free also. I'm not in excruciating pains but I'm tired of living like this and want the discomfort to stop if you know what I mean. He aslo said he's proud that all of his patients are able to burp after the procedure is done. I had a friend who had bad asthma which got extremely better through his Nissen.

I just thought LINX seemed so safe compared to nissen.....

Any thoughts.
