8 weeks post op still having big issues...Please Help

Only 2 bites of fried potato and also 2 bites of grilled chicken breast and i am dying cannot breath nor swallow ,,,the doctor says to drink some oil witch i did.but i stay 8 minutes like dying slowly...again he advise to stay on liquid,until he check the wrap....is it normal after 8 weeks ???need your advise Urgentely

Hi Soliver,

There can still be swallowing issues after 8 weeks, but it sounds to me as if your wrap might be too tight.  Until you see your surgeon, I suggest you hang in there with liquids for a while longer.

If you scroll down the document below, you'll find some recipes for liquid nutritional drinks.  See if that work for you.

Hopefully you are always here to help us..i will make as u said.and i will wait my surgeon to see if he can do dilatation or wait more time..

Dencha.....Is it possible to undo that Nissen?!!!i was before surgery 100 times better ,i am considering if it can be undo to go another surgeon and stay under PPIs ,they worked well to me 16 years sure with some life style modification about 90%...Plse answer me if it can be undo

Hi Soliver,

Yes, it is possible to take down the wrap.  My surgeon said he took it down on one person who couldn't tolerate not being able to burp.  It's just that when they take it down there will be some swelling at first, but then things will be back the way they were before the wrap.  Just consider how difficult things were back then before making that decision.
