Adam
a percentage of people who have GERD, will get better and often it will be anybodys guess as to why. we all look for cause and effect
the person comenting at the link is looking for connections as we all do
if we have a good day.... or a good several days... we think, what did i do that day, or the day before...why was i better?
but maybe it wasnt what we did, maybe it was what we didnt do...or some combination of events, these things are hard to know
to my knowledge magnesium is not a cure-all for treating gerd
this is not to say that there are not some people somewhere who have vitamin and- or mineral deficiencies that aggravate their condition and thus taking supplements can be a big help
if someone doesnt eat seeds, whole grains, brown rice, beans and fish they may indeed have a magnesium deficiency
i usually take 200mg of magnesium a day in addition to eating a balanced diet...ill increase my magnesium to 400mg and let you know in two weeks or so if i notice a difference
who knows maybe you are on to something!
best wishes
