Can Zantac be combined with Sucralfate and Nexium?

As mentioned in a previous post, I'm a Crohn's sufferer but my stomach is giving me really hard time. I'm waiting for the biopsy results of esophagitis, gastritis and duodenitis. Until results are out, my doc won't prescribe any new med. I am already taking Sucralfate 4 g/day along with my daily 80 mg Nexium . Can I add Zantac to this? Zantac reduces excessive saliva (water brash) and gives additional relief to that of Sucralfate. Another question: Is there any contraindications in taking Zantac while having hypertension (taking pred for one year and a half caused me hypertension)?

I'm currently on 80mgs of Omeprazole a day and one 150mg pill of Zantac every night before bed. This was prescribed by my doctor and seems to be working o.k.

HOWEVER, if I were you and concerned about possible drug interactions / side affects with your other medical issues I'd ask someone who actually knows. Go to any pharmacy that isn't very busy and just ask the pharmacist if what you're planning is o.k. Most of them are more than happy to help. I have done this several times throughout my ordeal and as long as the pharmacist wasn't swamped, they were always happy to help. Many times they know more much more than the doctor!
