We've sorted out the issues with the insurance (long story .. but basically my case was not denied - only deactivated. So, when we tried to go for the appeal, there was nothing to appeal for!) Nothing happening in my life (or in my body) shocks or surprises me anymore!
Anyway .. so I go for the pre-op meeting next friday and the surgery is scheduled for the friday after the next (March 2nd).
I have a couple of questions:
- I know everyone is different, but when can I expect to be back at work? I have a desk job and I can also work from home. In various websites, it says 3-7 days for TIF.
- A related question is - my co-workers (and boss) at work know that I have GERD but they think that the worst is behind me and I am able to manage it now. There was a period earlier last year - when all this started - and especially when I had anxiety and depression - that my performance at work started to suffer. However, since the summer/fall of last year, I was slowly able to come out of the anxiety and depression ... and have since stepped-up at work - and from their point of view - my health and performance is back to normal. I don't want to disturb this status quo if I don't have to. So, my question is - should I even tell my boss / co-workers about this (do I have to .. if I can be back at work on Monday for example?).
Thanks!
