going for the stretta on 27

heloo after 2 months of super agony i m going for the stretta procedure c oz i dunt want to take the medication as i m just 27 and dunt want to continue them rest of my life .i will keep posting about the outcomes but first t hey have to be sure that i m a candidate for it so the tests will be done on 24 th ,iy feel lucky as i would be the 1st person in india to go for this procedure .

Welcome to Healing Well! I certainly understand your desire to seek out a solution to your reflux issues. I've never had the Stretta procedure (I had the Nissen fundoplication surgery 3 years ago), but I wish you the very best of luck and hope you get the results you're hoping for.

I don't want to sound negative but I'm not sure that I would be in any rush to be the 1st of any procedure. Just be certain of your choice.

Hello,

If you have been diagnosed with GERD only 2 months back, i thinks its too early for you to decide to go for surgery that soon. Stomach problems can take a while to get better or stablise - make sure you have already explored all other options before going for surgery. That's only my opinion.
