Does anyone take simethicone here?
My GERD has become mild. But it does not completely go away. I feel like having chronic acid dyspepsia.
The symptoms are quite predictable. 3 ~ 4 hours after a meal, I will experience indigestion, bloating, constant belching, high acidity. What makes me uncomfortable is the accompanying chest sensitivity or irritation, and sometimes heartburn.
Eating a meal often relieves it, but 3~ 4 hours later, the symptoms repeat again.
I am trying ACV to control the hyperacidity, and simethicone to relieve the bloating and release the gas.
My theory is that indigestion results in constant bloating and gases, stomach distention. This somehow trains the LES to relax more in order to vent the gases in stomach (belching). When it becomes a habit, we have abnormally high tLESr rate and hence GERD follows. If we can reverse the process, LES will be tight again. Thus ACV/simethicone could be helpful to this specific scenario and only this.
I wonder if anyone has success with simethicone?
