Just curious if other members have irritation issues with their tongues? Mine tends to get more burned feeling as I go throughout the day but is not as noticeable in the morning (I have 0% acid exposure when laying down so I think I more or less recharge over night). If a scalding hot coffee burned tongue, an hour later (no pain but noticeable sensation of having been burned) was a 10, the worst I usually feel is about a 3. It's not painful but it's very noticeable. It's not located anywhere specific on my tongue (as a coffee burn would be).
I also have the sour/acidic taste in my mouth most of the time, so I am thinking that explains it, but I am kind of surprised that I rarely read of tongue symptoms in the long list of GERD and LPR symptoms. Especially in the case of people who experience regurgitation into the mouth, whether it's food or just some acidic fluid. It would just make sense that if you can taste sour/acid, that will eventually wear on the tongue. Yet little to no mention of tongue issues.
If you do have tongue symptoms, I'd appreciate hearing what other symptoms you have (heartburn? or LPR with no heartburn?) and whether your tongue symptoms have any patterns that you've noticed.
Thanks.
