Since
Approaching recovery....I spent five weeks trying to resolve the "aftermath" of GERD recovery.
Week1: acid dyspepsia symptoms - hyperacidity, indigestion, bloating, belching, chest sensitivity and irritation.
Week2: same set of symptoms
Week3: got some improvement
Week4: got worse
Week5: symptoms largely resolved
Week6: what now?
I am still taking TCM herbs. They help to reduce acid (but not by PPI or H2RA's extent). They also have astringent properties, and help to protect the stomach and esophagus tissue from erosion. I did abit of melatonin treatment and yoga. They also contributed to the recovery from dyspepsia.
I no longer feel hyper-acidic, nor frequent indigestion, nor bloating. I still feel an irritated feeling on my chest occasionally, once or twice in a day. Somehow, GERD doesn't go away completely. It's hiding in the dark recesses of my soul, waiting for the chance to bite back. How do I uproot it? Some said one can never recover from GERD, this thing will follow you for life. But I have heard stories, people who recovered from it never got it again....
