Hello I'm a newbie!

Hello~ I'm a newbie here and I'm starting the Lap Nissen adventure. I've gone thru the pH and monometry testing which was not a pleasant experience and today I go see the surgeon to discuss those results which I did recieve a letter stating the results of the monometry was normal and the pH was abnormal. I'll find out the next step I take today. I do like the Dr that will be doing the procedure he seems to be quite knowledgable in the procedure and is very reassuring. I'm feeling anxious and excited to get this done and not have to live with the annoying belching and stomach sourness and heartburn. I'll be posting my adventures of the procedure both pre and post-op and hopefully help some of you thru your own Lap Nissen journey. I'm so glad I stumbled upon the healing well community and am looking forward to reading more posts on the Lap Nissen procedures you all have underwent. Thank-you...

thanks Jonh71 for the reply. My Dr has already told me I'm a good canidate for this procedure he just wanted to verify the extent of the reflux problem before the actual surgery its the hoops I guess everybody has to go thru before they decide what would be best for you. I've lived on Omeprazole for 7 years and until recently the Dr's at Mayo clinic increased my dosage to 2x a day. My Doc told me I shouldn't have suffered for 7 years with GERD that I should've underwent the procedure a long time ago. I feel relieved that a Dr has finally acknowledged my problem and has offered to fix it. I'll post later today to let ya'll know what happened til then...
p.s I haven't anybody to go with me but I'm sure I've gained enough knowledge thru youtube, google and the postings on here to know what to expect thanks for the advice tho' I appreciate your feedback.
