Does working in the heat make reflux worse??

  I have had GERD issues for years but for some reason the last week or so I have had very little relief and that all to familiar burning in the throat and chest. I was wondering if being in the heat makes this worse or not. Its been over 100 for a few days and I have never noticed in the past having above normal issues during the summer before. It could just be a coincidence, and I have been dissecting every little thing lately.

One factor I didn't think about until just now is I have been taking muscle relaxers for my back. I think that may have something to do with it??? Not sur if it affects my nexium either. Any thoughts?
