Regarding your question about
adjusting the device, I'm not sure, but I think many pacemakers, like heart pacemakers, come with that ability. My sense is that it doesn't need much tweaking after the initial setup. The trials being conducted are for approval in the US. It seems that the US has very strict criteria for approving medical things, but the trials don't have to be conducted in the US. It appears to be available to the general public everywhere else it is being offered. An earlier version of the site had posted all the raw clinical data. The basic summary now seems to be at
