Runny Nose?

Hi,just wondering if anyone knows is a runny nose linked to having reflux.I get a runny nose after eating or drinking also a tickly throat at times.Ive had nissen fundoplication and im still on ppis.Please tell its not Lpr! Thanks Barry

Hi Barry,

I used to get asthma immediately after a reflux episode. Runny nose? I haven't heard that at all. Maybe somebody else has. Do you have allergies?

Runny nose and tickly throat sound like it could be post-nasal drip, a symptom of GERD or LPR.

I'm not aware of the typical timing ie immediately after meals in your case. Do different sizes/consistencies/acidity of meals make a difference? If you're unsure you may want to try altering one or more of those.

Thanks for the replies Denise and Marcello,ive noticed its not just after eating it can be some hours later aswell,i think it could be some form of reflux as i ive noticed it happens after i bend forwards,doesnt feel like the reflux i had before the surgery tho which i was really aware of.Im going to ask to get some tests done.Thanks Barry
