Hi Liz,Your stomach is still very sensitive. I don't know if you had a reactive/sensitive stomach prior to your surgery, but if so, you will after your surgery. My reactive stomach still gives me trouble from time to time, when I eat too much of something that is bothersome.
I have found that when I get feeling that way, Zantac can be very helpful. I only take it the day/days my stomach is upset. You're right that you should back of a little and baby your stomach. Remember that your wrap was created out of it, and your stomach is still adjusting to the changes.
You'll go through a series of give and take with your eating. Because your stomach is upset today doesn't mean you'll never regain normal eating. I eat ANYTHING I want to eat. If I know it's likely to upset my stomach, I do it with eyes wide-open. Sometimes it's worth it.
If you don't normally have a reactive/sensitive stomach, then what you're experiencing is simply a product of your surgery and recovery.
Hang in there! It will get better!
Denise
