I am 18 months post LNF.. I feel great but I can tell in some things I am still healing..
The first thing I would like to ask is.. what are you trying to eat.. how large are the bites you are taking and how well are you chewing whatever it is you are eating??
In my experience (and everyone can be different) if food is coming back up, it probably never went past the wrap. at five weeks if you are having problems maybe you should stick with soft foods a while longer.. well cooked veggies, scrambled eggs, Very well cooked meats/fish. try to stay away from anything that cannot be chewed to a liquid state. I found that beef was the hardest thing besides bread, to put back in my diet. For some reason I still have a hard time with very soft breads.. like burger buns and hot dog buns..
Until you get past the irritation that has been caused to your esophagus I would back off to a mushy very soft diet.. a couple of days then stay with soft foods chewed well.
As far as are you doing too much??.. listen to your body.. if it indicates that you are doing too much, back off a bit.. this is all I can advise since I don't know what you have been doing.
Please stay here on the forum and ask all the questions you like. Don't be shy either, this recovery is not always "pretty" sometimes there are .. ahem, shall we say delicate issues that you need to discuss.. we all did.. feel free to ask or rage or whine or even to share your accomplishment with us, Everyone will be here for you..
I hope I have helped a bit..
Still trying to find the rainbows
