Hi Chelle,Before long we'll be welcoming you to the Wrapped Club! You may have already seen my early recovery journal, but if not, it will provide you with some idea of one person's experience. I was a lucky one with a surgeon who had a very liberal eating protocol. I was on liquids in the hospital (overnight), and went home on soft foods. On Day 5 or 6 I saw my surgeon for a follow-up and he set me free to eat "anything that could be chewed to a liquid (creamy/smooth) consistency". He ruled out bread (toasted is fine) and steak for about 7 or 8 weeks. I found that beef when cooked in a crock pot for hours and hours was very chewable and easy to swallow.
Here's the journal:

Kitt has already given you some great resources! The eating guides will be very helpful.
Good luck! Keep asking questions that come up before your procedure, and we'll be looking forward to hearing from you afterward!
Best wishes,
Denise
