POST Linx Surgery

 My husband went through the LINX surgery last Monday and has not shown any signs of improvement yet. He's very disappointed. For the last 5 years he has suffered with sinus problems, post nasal drip, relentless coughing, wheezing and so on! He has under gone 2 sinus surgeries in the last 3 years, been to Mayo for help and now MUSC in Charleston, SC which is where he had the surgery.  After the linx surgery he was able to eat even though it was a bit uncomfortable. The bloating is what made him feel so bad along with the pain meds upsetting his stomach. Today is 9 days post surgery and he has coughed for the last 12 hours. He is exhausted and I am helplessly watching him suffer.  Any advice?

He has a follow-up on Tuesday with the surgeon. I've been on and off the phone with the doctor's office asking questions and getting his meds changed. This was the doctor's 3rd linx surgery so they don't seem to have all the answers we are looking for either! Makes it a bit more frustrating no knowing what's normal and not. Thanks!
