LINX and metal allergies

Does anyone know the final word on the linx system and metal allergies? I have heard that you can't get it if you have a nickel allergy, but have also heard the opposite, that it's just a precaution and hasn't been an issue in Europe. Does anyone know who has had the device? Do they test for metal allergies?

3. Contraindications:
3.1 Do not implant in patients with suspected or known allergies to titanium, stainless steel, nickel, or ferrous materials.
Warnings:
4.3 the device should not be exposed to temperatures above 100 c as this could adversely affect the magnets and the function of the device.
