Good GI in NYC

Could anyone recommend a good GI in and around New york city ? I have severe previously diagnosed GERD with LPR like symptoms too. I would like a general consultant whom I can basically talk to about my condition from time to time.

Will be ultra helpful if there is someone who is aware of the latest surgical treatments like LINX.

Hi gerd_hater,

Wish I could offer a recommendation, but I can't.  Still, I think you're in a great location to find an extremely experienced and knowledgeable GI doc.  Did you talk with your PCP about a recommendation?  It seems to me that might be a good place to start.  With LPR it would be wonderful if you could find a great ENT who is knowledgable about that condition.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a PCP (I am actually new to the US medical system having moved here only 2 years ago). I usually find doctors to go to and book an appointment with them, which of course takes forever at the good ones.

Is it a good idea to get a PCP ?

I shall look for ENTs who recognize LPR.
