   I have been having this on and off pain in the lower part of my right rib for a couple months now. It is a burning pain. Sometimes when i wake up at night everywere under my rib id aching and i can barley breath

Hi Daishai,

Welcome to Healing Well!  Sorry to hear you've having pain!  Have you been to see a doctor about it?  I haven't experienced that, but did have a cracked rib that was very painful and made it difficult to breathe.

Perhaps someone will come by who has had a similar experience.

Welcome to HealingWell.  I am sorry to read of your pain but I do agree with Denise, see you PCP and get yourself a medical screening exam as two months is a long time to have the kind of pain you have described. 

Let us know what you find out.

hi I've had gerds since 2004 when I found out I had to remove my gallbladder. I've have my days of acid reflux and bloatness, but recently I've had upper right stomach pain...almost like phantom gallbladder pain It comes and it goes, depends on what I'm eating. I've had an endocopy done twice in the last 9 years and I was diagnosed with gastric inflamation which my doctor thinks has flared up again.
Have your doctor check your gallbladder and for inflammation. I have an appointment with the gastric doctor in a week to check further. It's an annoying pain and it stops me in my tracks at time because I also suffer from kidney stones that also causes extreme pain. Sometimes, I just wish to feel normal again and my heart goes out to all of the people out there who suffer on a daily basis. It's comforting to know that there are others out there experiencing some of the same issues and I hope that you get the answers you desperately need. Take care.

Hi Tisabeth,

Welcome to Healing Well!  I have a very good friend who had phantom gallbladder pains after her surgery. She finally had a stent placed in the duct that was causing problems.  However, since the stent can't be left in there permanently once it was out she was back into the same problem.  She finds she can control it with diet, though, so decided that she's going to do that and give up on medical fixes.
