Anybody with gerd checked their saliva ph? I have some test strips and mine tested between 5 to 6.2 and when I checked my husbands his was 7.6. I can not believe that even with ppis I can not get it higher.
Is this really showing acid reflux in my throat?

I would bet most gerdies saliva ph is below 7.5, even on ppis you still reflux. If your les is bad, or you have a hiatal herina you will always reflux to some degree. ppis do nothing to stop reflux, they just lower stomach acid and do next to nothing agaisnt pepsin or bile.

Remember bile is alkaline, but can still damage the esophagus and feeling like acid reflux.

I guess, I'm just curious to see if anybody else is keeping track of their ph and how high is it.
Tonight my throat hurts and burns so bad. I did a ph test and it shows 6.2. So its not too acidic, then why I have this burning. I don't feel any bile taste or bitter or sour taste. I started getting the burning trough when starting to reduce my ppi and now even on regular does it doesn't stop. :((
